Carlsbad star hooper Jake Hall staking his talents at home, commits to UCSD

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) - Carlsbad High School basketball's star guard Jake Hall is deciding to lay his roots and stake his talents in our own backyard.

The rising senior Hall committing to UC San Diego's Tritons. Hall garnering a total of 12 offers, ultimately deciding to stay close to home.

Hall accumulating 2,155 points in total, saying he hopes to reach the 3,000 point mark. A goal most definitely attainable as Jake still has a whole varsity season left under his belt.

Hall reflecting on his relationship with UCSD's Head Coach Eric Olen saying ,"Coach Olen has been great, I mean one of the big things I was looking for in the recruiting process was a great relationship with the head coach. He did a great job building a relationship with me and my family."

A memory to remember forever, last season Hall and the Carlsbad Lancers facing the Montgomery Aztecs in a highly competitive CIF Open Division Championship game at UCSD's LionTree Arena.

Jake impressing with 19 points, and ultimately scoring back-to-back game sealing threes to take home the hardware. The first ever Open Division title for Carlsbad.

Now not far from now, Hall will be taking that same floor for the Tritons after what should be yet another exciting senior season for Jake.
